Terms of Service

1. Agreement

By accessing or using Game Distillery ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the Service. These terms apply to all users of the platform, including studio accounts and trial users.

2. Service description

Game Distillery provides player intelligence services for game studios. We analyze publicly available Steam review data to generate structured intelligence reports, issue tracking, temporal analysis, and related insights. The Service is provided via our web platform at gamedistillery.net.

3. Accounts

You must provide accurate information when creating an account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account. One account per studio; sharing account credentials is not permitted.

4. Free trial

New accounts receive a 15-day free trial with Studio-tier features. No credit card is required for the trial. At the end of the trial period, you may subscribe to a paid plan to continue using the Service.

5. Subscriptions and billing

Paid plans are billed monthly. You may upgrade, downgrade, or cancel your subscription at any time. Changes take effect on your next billing cycle. Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis. Prices may change with 30 days' notice.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
• Attempt to access other users' accounts or data
• Reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Service
• Resell, redistribute, or sublicense reports or data without permission
• Use automated tools to scrape or extract data from the platform
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service or its infrastructure

7. Data and Steam content

Intelligence reports are generated from publicly available data retrieved through the Steam Web API. Steam review data is provided "as is" by Valve Corporation. We make no representations or warranties regarding the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of Steam Data.

Steam and the Steam logo are trademarks and/or registered trademarks of Valve Corporation in the U.S. and/or other countries. Game Distillery is not affiliated with or endorsed by Valve Corporation.

8. Intellectual property

The Service, including its design, features, and code, is the intellectual property of Game Distillery. Intelligence reports generated for your account may be used internally by your studio. You may not claim ownership of the underlying analysis methodology or algorithms.

9. Limitation of liability

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Game Distillery shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service.

Intelligence reports and insights are for informational purposes only. We are not responsible for business decisions made based on our reports.

10. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account at any time for violation of these terms. You may delete your account at any time by contacting us. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. Sections regarding liability, intellectual property, and dispute resolution survive termination.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or through the platform. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
